Wune Tang Academy hosted a ‘grading’ weekend where candidates tested for 1st Dan through to 4th Dan. Under the watchful eye of Master Zachary Woon & Master Claire Woon from Wune Tang Academy, Master Moira Lawson and Master Jayne Lawson from Doncaster Tang Soo Do alongside other Masters from as far a field as Oregan USA! They commenced their grading with a gruelling outdoor ‘Endurance Test’ pushing their mind and body to the limit. The outdoor test is designed to push the students to breaking limit to see if they have the drive to continue. After the outdoor section they completed a 45 minute warm up and indoor syllabus grading which lasted several hours! Before they knew the results of their grading they all completed a Martial Arts seminar the next day and then had to wait until the ‘Promotions Ceremony’ the next evening to see if they had passed! The ‘Promotion Ceremony’ was a black tie event which consisted of a three course sit down meal, red carpet presentations, followed by dancing to a live band!
A massive congratulations to Derek Fraser 1st Dan, Rebecca Wignall 2nd Dan, Constance Morgan 2nd Dan, Joshua Poole 3rd Dan and Master Reece Kenney 4th Dan. Every Examiner passed them with flying colours. Their months and months of hard work really paid off!
